Your second home
by the sea.
Life opened in 2008: coffee in the morning, lunch at midday, a lounge bar once the sun goes down. Eighteen years on, it’s become a little home for anyone who wants to wake up by the sea, eat well and end the day with an aperitivo at sunset, the sound of the waves never far away.
Est. Follonica, 2008
A family story,
written by the sea.
Two beach umbrellas, a handful of tables and the sea right there. That’s how Life began.
It began in 2008 as Francesco’s idea: a family-run bar on the Pratoranieri seafront, open from the first coffee of the morning to the last glass at sunset.
His sons, Jacopo and Niccolò, grew up behind that counter. As kids they’d lend a hand between the tables; today they’re the ones running Life. Over the years the place has had a makeover and the Life House B&B rooms have arrived upstairs. The idea, though, hasn’t changed since day one.
Eighteen years,
five milestones.
Life opens
The family bar on the Pratoranieri seafront.
The kitchen arrives
The bar gets a kitchen, and lunch comes with the sea right in front of you.
Ten years of Life
Ten candles and a big party with everyone who’s been part of it from the start.
The renovation
A new look for the place. The idea stays exactly what it was on day one.
Life House opens
Three rooms above the bar, for anyone not quite ready to leave the sea behind.
The team.
The people who cook, bring out the plates and pour your drinks. They’re what makes Life, every single day.
